Membership fees are only $1/week (charged as $4.33/month). While we appreciate larger, private, and one-off donations, we will never set larger amounts or percentages as our membership fee.

Just $1/week per person, with 1,000 members, equates to $52,000 per year. Once we hit $1,000,000 of investments, we can expect around $40,000 in investment income, 100% of which goes to charities and charitable efforts. This amount will grow and grow, and the capital will never get spent...

This is truly a sustainable way of supporting charities, combating poverty, and making a real long-lasting change in the world.

Disclosure

We voluntarily offer disclosure of the whereabouts of all monies. All can see how much we raise, how much gets donated, how much is distributed to charities and charitable activities (e.g. building of houses in developing countries), how much is paid to run the charity (accountants, advisers, lawyers), how much is paid in salaries, etc. The FCOP staff are all moral and up-standing people, we are all compassionate philanthropists, and we are all competent, well qualified professionals, including financial advisors, investors, and other professionals.

Goal: 1 million members

With 1,000,000 members all donating a minimum of $1/week, we can expect $52,000,000 of donations every year.

Assuming a 4% dividend yield, this would produce $2,080,000 in annual income. This would be distributed 100% to charities and charitable efforts.

Assuming 30% franking credits (applies to Australian and some other shares) this could generate an income tax refund of $624,000.

Of course, as the capital is invested the income would be expected to grow over time, even if donations would not continue.

This sort of income will allow us to make a massive difference in the world. A self-perpetuating base of capital producing ever-growing income, year after year. 100% of which goes to where it is supposed to.

Tax refunds of $600,000 and eventually more will easily allow FCOP to cover administration costs, salaries for several full-time staff, with excesses re-invested.

By this stage, there is no telling what we can achieve.
